Did you know?

Did you know....

John and I eat mustard?
We enjoy dancing (though we don't claim to be skilled)?
And, most times we order a caffeinated soda when dining out?

The questions preceding these answers have all been asked to either John or myself in various circumstances.

We're curious people. We all have questions.

But these particular questions were asked to us, because our friends and even strangers realized we were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, (commonly referred to as "Mormons"), and they wanted answers and reasons to these unique questions.

In responding to many of these types of questions, we've found that there are quite a few misconceptions about our belief system and foundation. So, we decided to write this little blurb as the next 10 days are quite significant for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Yes, twitter will be flooded with #ldsconf and facebook and pinterest will be full of inspiring quotes this upcoming weekend. It's General Conference, the bi-annual event where prophets, apostles and church leaders give inspiring, Christian messages. Take a sneak peak...

Along with conference, next week will mark another major event for "Mormons" as the feature film, Meet The Mormons hits the big screen. No, this is not a proselyting tool, nor a fundraising effort (all proceeds go to charity) - it's another way for you to understand who Mormons are and what they believe. From the official website it says,
Meet the Mormons examines the very diverse lives of six devout members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Filmed on location and across the globe, Meet the Mormons takes viewers on a journey into the day-to-day realities of individuals living in the U.S., Costa Rica, Nepal and beyond. From their individual passions to their daily struggles, each story paints a picture as rich and unique as the next while challenging the stereotypes that surround the Mormon faith.

Friday, October 10, 2014, Liberty Theater will host Meet The Mormons in Wenatchee.

Again, we invite you to continue with the questions. We enjoy answering them, no matter how random or involved they are. In the grand scheme of things, we feel like questions give us the opportunity to reach out and discover new paths. For us, Jesus Christ is our main source for these answers - we feel his guidance and direction as he leads us to life's greatest answers.
